On Success

"Success means doing the best we can with what we have"
That's a quote I just read from a book, Ami.
And guess what? I finished my night routine....in order this time 🙌
Anyways, back to the quote....I read it from a book called, '365 days with self-discipline'.
Yep! There's a book with that title....
This particular quote emphasizes the importance of not focusing on results alone.
I usually say "the path is the goal", right?
So, whatever you can do with what you have right now....and trying your best, makes you successful already.
Mind you, it's the eBook format of the book tho....got it from pdfdrive.com
And there's a book by Brian Tracy I read....this one's a physical book in my house.
Don't remember how I got the book....but I've had it with me since high school.
The book is called "Success Is A Journey".
Don't know if the eBook version is on the PDF drive website....
The book is about how Brian and his friends dreamt of crossing the Sahara Desert...and the lessons he learned before, during and after the journey...
I've read the book countless times and some of its lessons include:
* Every one has a 'Sahara' to cross....meaning, a big goal to achieve.
* The first step to achievement is writing down the goal and how it can be achieved.
* Be clear about the goal but be flexible about the process of achieving it.
* Every large project is achieved one step at a time, one day at a time, one small action at a time

These particular lessons have stuck with me and I apply them every day....you can too!
And it's not just about reading a book, it's also about applying the lessons in everyday life.....and sometime ago, I came across this thought (read it somewhere I guess) that said,
"Reading an impactful book and doing nothing afterwards just means you wasted time to entertain yourself"
(Not the words exactly...just paraphrasing!)
That's all for now, Ami 👋
One more thing I want to share....I've probably quoted this before..
"If you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up 👆"
