Day 51

Hey Ami 👋
It's another Monday and I'm off to a good start....doing my routines on time.
And I also bagged a mental win..let me explain what I mean.
I started this habit of fasting, yeah?
So today, I would eat by 1pm....but I'm the one serving the food at home...like literally dishing it out!
Talk about mega temptation..
And it started....my mind started coming up with reasons I should eat with the others.
I had a good streak last week...although I had a big X on my habit card yesterday...
The conflict started as I dished out the food....😅
One side: "you can eat...you had a good streak of fasting last week...that's something to celebrate...no?
Other side: "you didn't fast yesterday....do you want to miss two days in a row?....all because you had a good streak?
It was a battle, I tell you....
By the time I was done with dishing out the food, I convinced myself that I would eat (oh no!....she lost the battle)....BUT...
After I freshen up....normally I don't do this.
What happened after? I lost the appetite to eat immediately....a win 🙌.....because I tricked myself.
The thought was, "okay...you can eat...no problem with that...but after you freshen up...I won't stop you....no guilt whatsoever.
Guess what? I don't even feel hungry!
For the past two weeks, fasting has helped me in my self discipline....more than ever.
It's something I want to make a long term habit....and it has a lot of health, spiritual and mental benefits..
That's it about my first win of the week.
Anyhoo...it's day 51.
And I have put down my goals on paper...gotta go work on 'em.
