Yellow Cards

What a day I had, Ami!
I did tasks that made my brain overheat, resulting in a slight headache...
I struggled between choosing to get something because I 'wanted' it or because I 'needed'....
I didn't complete my afternoon stack and eventually fell asleep...
Believe me, I'm not complaining.
On the contrary, I'm simply recounting the reasons why today was a great learning opportunity.
And I'm grateful for that.
I also wrote on cards....I've started using that technique....cards.
Well...I call them cards but they're square pieces of cardboard...
Sometimes, Ami....you may have an idea and start it but you end up not going through with it because it doesn't feel relavant at the moment...
Let me tell you: store that idea, keep it somewhere....because one day it will become the most logical idea.
That's what happened with the cards...the reason why I'm telling you this...
Okay, so the story goes like this:
We had extra cardboards in the house and I got my hands on one of them.
At first, the idea was to fold and cut it up into smaller squares...so I could write things on it.
What things? I didn't know then.
I also made a crochet purse, months ago to sell but apparently, I couldn't find a customer (had no marketing knowledge!).
Fast forward to August, before my challenge started, I found the purse and kept the cut up cards in them.
I'm currently using the cards as my mini checklists for habit stacks.
I also use them to write phrases and quotes to myself.
And since the purse is hand held, I can carry it along when I go out...as I can also keep my phone in it!
So you see, Ami....that's why I would tell you to store your great ideas.
You never know when it will be the most logical idea to run with....only time will.
By the way, the cards are yellow...just thought I should add that..
And I wrote on one of them today, to remind myself to keep it simple.
"KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID" 😂
Sounds harsh, but when I get the card out of my purse, I can think of ways to apply simplicity to whatever I'm doing.
(I tend to do otherwise, sometimes).
Till next time, Ami 👋
