Week 3 begins...Meet Richie.
Happy Sunday Ami!
It's Amigurumi week...and I chose Amigurumi of all crochet projects because I haven't made one in a while.
And I want to try making one in a week!
Normally, it takes me two weeks to make something like that, depending on my schedule tho.
If you're wondering what Amigurumi is, let me give you my definition.
Amigurumi is toy making with crochet.
That's my definition tho.
I think the name was coined from two Japanese words....not sure.
Well, you can google it to find out more.
Here's the last one I made: a bear
Meet Richie.
I made him early this year with the intention of....
Why did I make him?
Don't remember now...but I just made him and it took me up to three weeks. I wasn't so serious with it then...I would just crochet when I felt like it.
Anyways, few months ago I gave him out as a gift to a little girl in my area. Funny thing is, she bears my English name (Divine).
One thing I know is that toys make children happy and whenever I make one of these, I always have a kid in mind.
I guess that's why I made Richie in the first place....to give him away...eventually.
Well, Ami...I want to make another toy this week....maybe a bunny.
Richie is a bear....basically you can make any animal with amigurumi....that's if you know the basic crochet stitches.
All you need is a pattern and crochet materials (pin, scissors, stitch marker, needle).
Then you make all the body parts and stitch them together.
Hopefully this week goes well.
Wishing you well, Ami.
See you soon ✌
PS: did I forget to add that you also need yarn?....silly me 😄
