Tasko Donezo 😎
I did it!
Finished all the tasks for today.
I have to admit, the auxiliary tasks screwed up my schedule but it all worked out.
One thing I noticed that made sense about me (more like I understood) was that,
I'm an overdeliverer.
Big word 😆
Let me explain
I set out to wash the clothes (by hand tho)
Before that, I went into mental mishap, thinking...how will I was it? when? where?
(Sometimes I wash outside)
Then I just said, 'Screw it, I might as well do it now'.
Then I gave myself an hour to finish.
I went outside, started washing and drying.
It was hard work and I didn't even know how long I spent there.
After the initial set of clothes were done, I decided to wash another set!
I was like, 'I would still have to do it next tomorrow (I usually wash on Saturdays), might as well reduce the amount I have to wash later'
And that was what I did.
I didn't wash all of the Saturday laundry, but I reduced it significantly.
I was quite exhausted afterwards but I was happy that I didn't have to wash much clothes later.
I even went ahead to do some extra chores that needed to be done.
(The one I would typically leave for Saturday).
Well done, Duon.
The thought came to me later that I like to do things earlier than I initially plan.
Sometimes, if not most times, it's a good thing.
Like when I set a project for a particular date, I would start before that time to get a head start.
(Don't know if that sentence was correct but...whatever...no time to run it through Quillbot)
I think that behavior or tendency to do something before the time might be a problem. Okay, let me think out loud.
We all know the saying, 'God's time is the best'.
And sadly, most of us (me included) are not willing to wait for the right time to do something.
We go ahead anyway.
What happens? Pain, loss, heartache
And we might be thinking, it's all part of the process, when it's not just the right time.
It's super easy to compare our progress, which may be slow to the good results other people get.
But you may be thinking,
How do I know the right time?
I want to do this but I'm also doing this right now...when will I know it's the right time to do it?
Well, I'll just say,
You'll feel it. Things will just fall into place so well that it would be a mistake to not do it. That's when you'll feel a strong push.
This is coming from a 20 year old who struggles to even do things at the right time so I'll tell you,
Don't pay attention to me.
If you need to do something, just do it.
Chances are, you'll fail miserably and it will drive you to go back to the learning process and retrace your steps.
But that's how you grow
That's how you learn.
I read something in an ebook that stood out to me. It goes something like this:
To be great, you have to be good
To be good, you have to be bad
To be bad, you have to try
It's not the exact wording but what I basically understood was that you try first, then you suck at doing it, then you get good, then you're great at doing it.
But all of it won't happen if you don't try first.
I'll apply this to the skills and habits I'm currently trying to build.
I'll suck at it at first
But I tried and that's what matters.
That's all for now.
I need to take my well deserved rest.
