Monday Musings
It's a Monday morning!
One thing I now find puzzling is how people measure time.
I just finished tracking the time it took for me to break down a piece of copy.
And yes....I'm into copywriting.
If you don't know what it is, you probably know what ads are.
If you don't, do you live under a rock?
Anyways, I tracked the time and it took less than an hour..what I had planned to use for the whole process.
Maybe it's because the copy was shorter than the last one.
I just got into time tracking.
Am completely new to it, you know?
And it makes me wonder how the big men do it. Distractions can be inevitable at times but I think it depends on the environment.
Well, my environment is NOT exactly distraction-free.
I'm the first born and big sister to 4 siblings. My mum passed away 4 years ago and the mantle of household responsibility fell on me.
I'm not complaining at all.
On the contrary, I'm grateful because the challenges that come along with being the lady of the house help me grow and learn each day (my dad goes to work in the morning and comes back at night).
You might think, what about school?
Forgive me for saying this, but SCREW SCHOOL!
I graduated from high school five years ago, at a tender age of 15.
Since then, I haven't seen the four walls of a classroom or lecture hall.
But I bet that I've learnt a lot more than a degree can teach me.
And I'm still learning.
I still want to pursue a degree in the later future...don't know which one.
Heck, I might probably never do it.
But it's a nice thought to have a notable degree to your name.
And it makes me think.
Is it a degree that makes people respect you? Probably.
But I'm sure a degree won't put food on the table. Working hard will.
That's all for my musings now.
I'm currently tracking the time it takes for me to type this and it's been 20 minutes of thinking out loud.
Till next time,
Enjoy your day.
