How Did The Meeting Go?

Want to know how the interview went? One word, Ami....unsure.

I met with the owner of the bakery....funny thing tho, I found out that the actual name of the business is 'bakery bistro'.

Reason is that, they're also a restaurant.

Restaurant + Bakery = Bistro 

You get it?

So I talked to the owner of the place in her office...a woman...seemingly middle aged.

She asked some questions...I responded while she half-listened as she worked on the her computer (which I found weird...considering that it was an interview).

And for some reason, they couldn't find my application letter.

She was like "Go and write another one".

Hell no!....I couldn't start from scratch!

I left her office and simply printed out another copy of the same letter that I saved on my phone.

The thought "Work smarter, not harder", rang in my head several times.

But one thing I took out of that whole experience is the fact that people with some level of authority will want to know what you have accomplished a.k.a work.

Now I understand the importance of having sample work...be it content or drafts...whatever.

Well, long story short....she told me she would call me when her manager was around....twas not a 'YES' or a 'NO'.

Anyhow it goes, I will accept it....for me to even sit there, answer questions and feel nervous was something I hope I won't forget.

Today's experience strengthened my resolve to make my projects count....will still tell you about it, Ami...don't worry.

And I must say, I'm truly grateful to God for how this month went.

I learned a lot more and got some issues cleared out...I'm confident and hopeful that the new month will be favourable for us all 🙏

Some things will definitely change...for the better...I believe so.
