School of Pod
Hey friend,
Turns out I have to redesign the eBook cover.
Not a complete redesign...aka from scratch, it's just that I have to place the text in a better way.
I figured that out after taking a second look at it in Google docs.
Anyways, it's podcast season.
I'm way into audio learning now and I just realized that there's a lot of hidden knowledge in these simple audio recordings.
From design, to copy, to language, to business...you can learn a lot in your chosen field from podcasts.
That aside, I was taking a walk in the cold hours of 7pm this evening.
Then I was like, 'it's just day 4 and I feel like I should reach out, go out into the world'.
(A big change from my view of the challenge earlier, right?)
Reason was that a friend called.
Like a flash call. Once.
I was cooking then and by the time I rushed to answer it (assuming it was my dad), the call ended.
I really wanted to call back.
But I didn't.
Not because I didn't have the credit to call back but because I didn't want to.
I had the mind, from the beginning of this challenge to not contact anyone.
Not because I don't care.
But because I want to keep the terms of the agreement.
Believe me when I say, it's hard in itself. I'm usually the one who likes to call and know how my pal is doing.
As I sat on a short fence and the cold wind whooshed around me, I wondered why I was into this challenge.
(This girl's crazy...she don't even know why she be doing some challenge)
I stood up and started to brainstorm.
I had told my dad earlier today that I was off social media so I could do 'more research on the business'
Was that it?
I had told my friends (before going off) that I was feeling overwhelmed and I needed to take some time off.
Was that it?
Then it hit me.
I wanted to build good habits.
Few days before I went offline, I saw a post by Steve on Instagram. It was a picture that said, in black and white,
PEOPLE DON'T DECIDE THEIR FUTURE
THEY DECIDE THEIR HABITS AND THEIR HABITS DECIDE THEIR FUTURE.
Then, it strengthened my resolve to go offline. It seems that I just forgot.
Now I remember.
Then I said to myself, 'you just do what activity that makes you happy...and build good habits along the way'
And I must say, in the last three days, I've been struggling.
But I'll get through.
On the flip side, exploring has never been so fun. I come up with ideas and do them immediately....(as long as they don't involve social media).
Am also creating along the way.
I just thought about creating future content for my IG page.
I've got 50+ days to do that 🙌
I'll definitely enjoy the journey, hoping to be a different person by the time it's all over.
Stronger, more focused and ready to help others with what I've learned so far.
That's all for now.
See you soon, mi amigo
