Ended With A Binge

What's up, Ami?
Hope your day is going well.
My day was great, by the way.
I finished listening to the last episode of a marketing podcast by Russell Brunson.
Don't know who Russell is?
Check Google.
The podcast was recorded during the lockdown that happened during the pandemic.
And one thing I realized is that even when I had no idea of business at that time, people were hitting it big and making waves in the marketing industry.
I was 16 then.
And if you had told me then,
That I would be so interested in learning about marketing and business.
I would probably have called you crazy and laughed at you.
I didn't even have a smartphone until just last year....it's going to actually be one year in October.
Specifically October 15th.
How do you still remember, Duon?
Let me tell you something about me.
I tend to forget....a lot.
I sometimes get frustrated when I don't remember the details I need at some moment.
But if any event made a huge impact in my life, I always remember it...down to the last detail.
Over the years, I sometimes forget some of the details but I never forget the main ones.
As for passwords, the more I type them, the more likely I am to remember it.
That's why I like to jot down.
The main reason.
So I don't forget.
And that's why I'm making these posts. So I don't forget how I feel and things I've learned in these 61 days.
So this blog is like my daily log for thoughts and the chance to think out loud about my day.
Speaking about my day, I told you earlier that I finished listening to the marketing podcast...to the very last episode.
I didn't even think of doing that today...finishing the rest of the episodes.
I had crossed it off my list after listening to one episode in the morning.
I also finished all my tasks for the day and crossed them off my list.
But evening came and I started listening and taking notes. I was like,
"Why not finish the remaining...there's not much to do...you might as well learn".
And I couldn't stop listening.
I even had to step out to buy something and the podcast followed me till I came back home.
I just finished the last episode an hour ago and my mind exploded with thoughts of giving value through whatever I'm learning.
"You've been called to serve", is a phrase from Russell's podcast that stood out for me.
Then I thought,
'Money is exchanged for value...so if what I learn brings immense value to a business, I can make money'
That wasn't exactly how the thought came...I just paraphrased it.
At that moment, I was like 'wow'.
Now I know that this moment of isolation from social networks is not going to be a waste.
Cause, I'm learning a lot more and practicing a lot more.
And I can be able to apply all that when I'm back online.
That's all for now, Ami.
See you in the next post.
PS: It's night right now...precisely in the 9pm hour.....so till tomorrow 👋
And yes, before I go, let me quickly say,
My youngest brother called what I was doing 'binge listening'
Similar to binge watching 😆
Don't know if that's an actual word and if it's not, you saw it here first.
